Last Thursday, October 22nd, industry leader Jones Lang LaSalle organized the First Annual Round Table for Today’s Real Estate Market at the offices of the Valdebebas Owners’ Management Board, with the goal taking a close look at the most relevant aspects of today´s and tomorrow´s real estate market. The conference was attended by a diverse audience, including representatives of various companies within the sector, as well as Valdebebas Board Members. Mr. César Cort, President of the Board, and Mr. Pedro de Churruca, Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle España, opened the conference. Their opening remarks were followed by numerous interesting interventions, which included Mr. José Miguel Setién, Jones Lang LaSalle Product Manager, who offered an analysis of the current market situation in Madrid, as well as its evolution and trends; Mr. Borja Basa, Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Solutions Director, who spoke at length about Corporate Strategy; and D. Miguel Ángel García-Alonso, Project Director for Telefónica "Distrito C", who focused on consolidating corporate headquarters. Following these presentation s were Ms. Ana Teresa Lasso and Mr. Daniel Ramírez-Parra, head of Sustainability Operations and head of ACT at Jones Lang LaSalle, respectively. These detailed talks underscored the important role played by sustainability in the business environment, especially in moments of economic crisis. Speaking on behalf of Valdebebas, Mr. David Martínez, Managing Director, and Mr. Hernando Soto, Business Development Director, closed the conference. Mr. Martínez took the opportunity to share his global vision of the Valdebebas urban development project, while Mr. Soto focused on those specific Valdebebas properties which will be developed for retail, office and hotel use in the future. After the conference concluded at approximately 13:00h, participants mingled with one another to discuss the ideas presented and enjoy a glass of Spanish wine and appetizers.
