Valdebebas has guaranteed connections with major metropolitan
road networks through junctions and overpasses with the four high-capacity
motorways that surround the development.
Valdebebas - Sanchinarro connections over the M-40
Two bridges have already been constructed over the M-40 that will connect existing
roundabouts in Sanchinarro with two roundabouts in Valdebebas. Both structures
were designed with large spans so traffic traveling on the M-40 would be
minimally affected during construction.
R-2 Overpasses
Valdebebas connects to the neighboring districts el Encinar de los Reyes,
La Moraleja and the future La Solana de Valdebebas development in the north
via two overpasses and one underpass. These connections are in the final
phase of construction.
Valdebebas - Terminal 4 Landmark Bridge
A stunning 150-meter bridge is planned which will span the M-12 and connect
central Valdebebas directly with Terminal 4. This bridge will one day be
a landmark for Valdebebas and the city of Madrid. A junction with the M-110
and another with the M-13 are pending final approval.
Junctions with the M-11
Valdebebas has easy connections to Plaza de Castilla, the A-I and A-2 expressways
and the M-40 thanks to junctions with the M-11 dual carriageway. At present,
this dual carriageway has three lanes in each direction from the link with
Hortaleza to the roundabout at Ermita de Barajas. Executed projects include
the expansion of the section to four lanes and the creation of service lanes
on both sides to facilitate entering and exiting the development to the
M-11, rearranging present accesses to IFEMA.
